Drivers must obey the parking notices and road laws. All parents who are collecting children after school are asked to use Thomson Street or Boisdale Street for parking.
Children leaving school early must be signed out at the office in the 'Early Departure Register'.
If your child has headlice you will need to treat the hair before returning your child to school and advise the school so that checks can be arranged for all children in the class. A comprehensive Head Lice Policy has been developed at the school and it includes the checking of hair at school when problems are identified, and follow up to ensure that effective treatment has been provided.
Infections spread quickly at school and children should be excluded if they are infectious. To see a table detailing the minimum period of exclusion from Primary School for children with an infectious disease, see the Victorian Government Infectious Diseases Exclusion Table. Please inform the school if your child contracts an infectious disease.
If at any time, children require medications during school hours, make arrangements to bring the medication to school at the required time and administer it. If an arrangements cannot be made to do this, then an authorisation form will need to be completed before school staff can administer any medications. Contact the office for details.
Parents must provide their children with correctly fitting bike helmets. The Road Safety Authority recommends children below Year Four should be accompanied on the road by an adult.
Although there are facilities to cater for children who become sick whilst at school, the school is not equipped or qualified to deal with children who should be kept at home.
Visitors are welcome to visit the school at any time, but must sign the Visitor's Book in the office. (Please see Visitors Policy attached). To talk at length with a teacher, please arrange an appointment time.
